This site is at 3200 feet on the north peak of Mt. Oso in Stanislaus County, 7 miles west of Westley.

This is a low-power, 2-watt repeater (thank you, PAVE PAWS) with a hot receive section. Thus, you can hit this repeater well into Stockton and the received signal will sound good, but weak and maybe noisy. Still a usuable repeater. Try it sometime. There is another repeater in the Fresno area on this frequency.

This repeater is going to be replaced with a machine that hears better, has a bit more power, and is connected to a new and better antenna. But it works, especially if you aren’t really close.
The VHF and UHF repeaters will eventually be linked.
